Meet Dr. Warner
We’re so excited about the momentum that is building up around The Healing Sole! Dr. Warner has been busy pounding the pavement to get the word out and her hard work is most certainly paying off!

Joie de Vivre

Last month, Dr. Warner met with a magazine based in Baton Rouge, LA, which also happens to be the home of The Healing Sole. inRegister is a monthly lifestyle magazine that covers the people, places, style and entertainment that make the Baton Rouge an extraordinary place to live. That being said, it’s no wonder they chose Dr. Meredith Warner for a special interview. In the full article, Dr. Warner explains why she decided to make The Healing Sole in the form of a flip flop: “The idea came to her after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan as an Air Force surgeon… ‘At the time, there was no good flip-flop to do that [foot recovery], particularly for athletes or people that work on their feet, and I just thought, ‘Well what if we make the problem into the treatment?’” Dr. Warner also recognized how devastating it is for people who live in the South, especially in Louisiana, to be denied flip flops as they are such a strong part of the state’s joie de vivre culture.

Don’t Mess With Pain

Earlier this week, Dr. Warner flew to Dallas / Fort Worth for a special appearance on NBC DWF. There, local medical and healthcare correspondent, Bianca Castro, met with Dr. Warner and Janel Tedesco, who suffers from plantar fasciitis. Tedesco has been wearing The Healing Sole for several months. She told us, “with The Healing Sole, there’s no need to suffer through the pain, just don’t even mess with it.” And we agree! The interview focused primarily on urging those with foot pain to get treatment, however, there was also some discussion of The Healing Sole: “‘I like to think of it as a medical device instead of a flip-flop,’ said Warner. ‘this device stretches, cushions and distresses the plantar fascia in one device, as opposed to going to the doctor’s three different visits to try three different things.’ Tedesco got treatment for her pain and now knows the tricks to living pain-free. ‘If you wear the right shoes and have the right support, then your day is good,’ said Tedesco.” You can see Dr. Warner’s full interview with NBC DFW here.

Flip Flop Ya Don’t Stop

It’s clear that Dr. Warner isn’t planning on stopping anytime soon. She is even joining our newest retail partner, the Flip Flop Shop in Baton Rouge, on April 2 for a special event to answer questions about heel pain and plantar fasciitis, as well as help with flip flop fittings. If you’re in the area, we’d love to see you there. Stop by and meet Dr. Warner in person. We like her and we think you will, too!
