Tendinitis, also seen as Tendonitis, is caused by damage to a tendon, resulting in pain and inflammation. Tendinitis is not limited to one area of the body and can affect tendons in the feet, shoulders, elbows, hands, and knees. This is especially common in athletes due to repetitive damage and strain.
In the feet, tendinitis can manifest in four different forms: Achilles Tendinitis, Peroneal Tendinitis, Posterior Tibial Tendinitis, and Tendinitis of the Extensors and Toe Flexors.
