The ABC’s of Foot Pain Relief
Posted on Feb 27, 2020

Tight, tense muscles in the feet and legs can make it difficult to focus on your day. This pain can affect multiple areas in your life from your balance to your overall health. Alleviate pain with alphabet foot stretches!

Alphabet Exercises

These seated alphabet stretches are simple to do at home or on the go. Sit in a chair and extend your leg in front of you. Point and flex your toes, tracing the letters of the alphabet in the air. Keep your leg still by locking your knee and only move your toes and ankles. This will stretch the tense muscles of your feet and calves.

Trace the full alphabet a minimum of two times with each foot, at least two to three times a week.

The alphabet foot stretches can also be done while sitting on the floor with your leg stretched out in front of you. If needed, support your ankle with a foam roller and follow the same stretches as listed above.

For more simple stretches that you can do at home, incorporate these five stretches and exercises from Dr. Meredith Warner into your daily routine for lasting foot pain relief.
